Stapleton Front Door

Stapleton, Denver’s new mixed-use community, may be getting a new “front door.” The tired landscapes of the Interstate 70 and 270 interchanges do not reflect the high level of design and maintenance typical of the new development. Forest City, Stapleton’s developer, requested Chroma Design to study the motorist’s arrival experience and to develop a plan for enhancing the area to better connect it to Stapleton and to create an identity that links to the nearby Northfields shopping district. Suggested improvements include enhancing the I70 bridge aesthetics with lights & colors, cleaning up the area’s landscape, and adding signature walls, monuments, lights, and signs.
