City Park Sign System
Council Bluffs, IAThe city of Council Bluffs is blessed with a diverse and picturesque park system that ranges from Bayliss Park, the jewel of the historic downtown, to Vincent Bluff, a wildlife and nature preserve. The Parks Department requested Chroma Design to develop a new sign system that would provide a fresh, attractive, and ‘friendly’ identity for their park destinations. The sign panel was designed first. Its layout utilizes the city’s ‘bluff’ logo shape and incorporates a new insignia for the Parks Department. Three colors of sign panel and five options for mounting the sign were presented along with recommendations for sturdy low maintenance materials. Two of the options have been selected, one for the larger, regional destinations and the other for the neighborhood parks.
