The Alzheirmer’s Garden

Denver, CO

The Alzheirmer’s Garden at Stapleton is a special addition to the new urban community’s Central Park. The garden was designed to be a unique and beautiful contemplative space for park visitors that allows them to enjoy the rich and colorful plantings while strolling along a spiral path that leads to a central “remembrance” space. Garden construction was sponsored by the Colorado Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. The Association organized a fundraiser for Alzheimer’s Disease medical research and received donations for the 160 trees in the surrounding grove.

This project was completed by Doug Lamson while employed by another firm.
