Chroma Design’s location in the heart of downtown Boulder not only offers inspiration for designs from the historical and natural surroundings, but also allows the firm to be part of Boulder’s exciting and diverse design community. The setting is reflective of the great importance that Chroma Design sees in utilizing unique elements, both cultural and physical, of the surroundings in which a project is being designed. Chroma Design has had the opportunity to explore and discover many different ways of incorporating the unique aspects of each project’s setting into designs; the locations of the firm’s projects extend from Colorado’s Rocky Mountains to the East Coast.

Chroma Design is composed of three members. Doug Lamson is the sole principal and owner of the firm. He is a licensed landscape architect in Colorado, Iowa, Massachusetts, and Maine. Mr. Lamson has 27 years of professional experience doing planning, design, and construction administration for a diverse list of public and private clients. Mr. Lamson’s approach is to create designs that reflect the unique setting, history, and culture of the place in which the work is built. He is best known in the Denver area for managing the design and construction of over 200 acres of new parks at Stapleton.

Cody Nolta is the company’s Production Manager. He is in charge of preparing deliverable documents and marketing materials. Cody has a strong background in industrial design and environmental graphics. He has over 10 years of experience producing exceptional design documents in a wide range of media and styles.

Matt Kintner is Chroma Design’s newest member. He is a landscape designer with 3 years of experience that includes work on several master planned communities in Southern California. He is a graduate landscape architect who brings strong skills in computer graphics, site design, and project management to the firm.
